Blessed to Stay Home

There are many women in this world that have 'careers'...you know the ones who get up, go to work, come home, go to bed...they LOVE it...tons of props to them! Then there are the ones who love being HOME!! That is me, I thought I was the other type. Way WRONG!! When Jacob was in pre-school through on post school before Elementary Pre-K, I stayed home. Took him to his part day school, came home, cleaned, picked him up, hit the gym, came home...Then realized that I needed to get out of the house and back into the "Social" world...needed friends with jobs, a social life...then I went back to work as the Gardener on post. Then switched to becoming the Reservation Agent for the Hotel...Loved both jobs...until Jacob started getting in trouble to much at school because he needed a parents attention. Daddy was gone and he needed mommy...So we decided for me to quit my M-F 8-5 job to be back at HOME!!

I find peace at home. We work hard for the things we have and have created. So why not enjoy them everyday. I thoroughly enjoy cleaning, I really do. I find it peaceful and refreshing. I love vacuuming, mopping, disinfecting...it is a sense of clean air freshness! Yes, I have my counter that is cluttered, but I know where everything is at all times on it...if it gets cleaned, I am lost! I take Jacob to school or the bus stop, come home, make my coffee, check emails, Scentsy, and CLEAN!! Then get him from the bus stop. Sometimes he has a friend over or he goes over there. Then we make dinner together and eat as a family. Then it's homework, bathtime, reading, getting clothes laid out for the next day...tuck him in and back to my things!

I usually prepare my list for the next day, either errands, returns, phone calls to make, Scentsy customers to email/call...LOVE IT. LOVE the computer and typing and organizing! So refreshing.

I was thinking about this pregnancy and how it is such a blessing. I was going to look for a job in Japan once Jacob started 1st grade. Now, instead, I will be in the delivery room!!! It is such a blessing that I will be able to stay home with this child and to be able to get Jacob from the bus stop again. I will be able to still do Scentsy, scrapbook, and CLEAN my house. Just have come to the realization that my 'career' is to take everyday as it comes and STAY AT HOME to earn income. There is plenty of time to work when my children are old enough. For right now, the best career is to be their mother, a happy, healthy, fun, MOTHER!

With all my love and support during these past nine years of his ARMY career, I helped him get where he is. So he says that I deserve to be happy in the career field as well. He leaves the house everyday to put a roof over our head and it's my job to keep it safe, fun, and standing!!
